WORTH THE WORK
Spring 2023 Collection
Earlier this year we reached out to our neighbors at ShopGood for help creating a new line of apparel and accessories that captured, at least in part, the energy and ethos of the phrase “Oklahoma is worth the work.” Admittedly, this was harder than we expected.
The sentiment is easy to understand. Pretty much everyone everywhere wants to believe that their home state is already on the right path and that “doing the work” to make it even better will be quick, easy, and fun.
But what about a state where it feels like the laws (and the politicians who pass them) are disconnected from the will of the people? What about a state that has some of the lowest teacher pay and highest utility rates? What about a state with the loosest gun laws, strictest abortion laws, and a no-holds-barred attack on trans youth in the country? What about a state that schedules two years of death row executions? What about a state where political corruption runs deep, the maps are gerrymandered, and hundreds of thousands of voters are disenfranchised just because they don’t align with a political party?
In a state like that, you have two choices: leave, or stay and find a way do the work. And we firmly believe that Oklahoma is worth the work.
Let’s Fix This was founded on the belief that people matter, that the common good is more important than winning re-election, and that real progress can be made when we work together.
Our 2023 collection, entitled “Worth the Work,” embodies the spirit of collective action. In collaboration with the talented folks at ShopGood, we’ve created a suite of apparel and accessories that highlight that which makes Oklahoma grand - shared sacrifice, passion for progress, and a committment to our state motto, “Labor omnia vincit,” which means “work conquers all.”
The goal of this collection is simple: capture the fightin’ Okie spirit, the part that refuses to give up, regardless of what the legislature or the weather try to throw at us. Real Oklahomans work together, no matter the cost, because we believe that this state is worth fighting for.
