We love interns and are always looking for enthusiastic, intelligent, creative people who love democracy and civic engagement. Our paid internship program is for adults ages 18+ that are curious about advocacy, politics, and generally “how democracy works.” We offer two sessions per year in the Spring and Fall. These typically follow a college semester schedule, but you do not need to be a college student to apply.
Through hands-on projects, mentorship, and professional development, Team LFT interns gain valuable insight into public policy, community organizing, voter engagement, advocacy, and nonprofit leadership. Our belief is that democracy is and should be FUN, so we incorporate a lot of creative ideas into our outreach opportunities.
Interns will work collaboratively with professionals and each other to develop skills in communication, research, project management, volunteer recruitment and management, and community activism. Interns will have one-on-one time with civic engagement leaders and elected officials from Oklahoma.
